The same delicious Monte Grande beans with whole milk added for creaminess, and just a hint of sugar.
Monte Grande is a family-owned farm in Coatepeque, Guatemala. It’s been in the Conde family since 1867, bought for six gold coins. When cacao prices dropped in the 1970s, the farm had to close. But with growing popularity of craft chocolate and ethical-trade pricing, the family regenerated the 19-hectare plantation and is now expanding.
This is their cacao, rich and creamy but not sweet, with lingering mocha and gentle fig. Supporting the efforts of farms like Monte Grande is an important part of Chocolibrium’s mission.
